Are Overnight Oats Only for Breakfast?
No. Overnight oats may have breakfast energy, but there's no rule that says you can only eat them before 10 a.m. Depending on your needs and ingredients, they can also work as a snack or simple light meal.
The 3 p.m. rescue
That stretch between lunch and dinner is where many people end up grabbing whatever is closest. A prepared jar in the refrigerator can be a more intentional option.
The workday backup
Meetings run long. Lunch plans disappear. Keeping a prepared breakfast-style food available can be useful when the day refuses to follow the calendar.
After activity
If overnight oats fit your personal nutrition needs, you can customize them with milk, yogurt, nut butter or protein to make them more substantial after activity.
Travel days
Time zones have no respect for meal names. When you're traveling, familiar food that is easy to prepare can be valuable whether you eat it at 7 a.m. or 4 p.m.
Listen to hunger, not the clock
Meal timing is personal. The point isn't to rename overnight oats. It's to remember that useful food can be useful whenever you need it.
